As part of Minia University's commitment to
promoting a culture of occupational safety and raising awareness of workplace
security measures, the University's Occupational Safety and Health
Administration, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental
Development Sector at the Faculty of Fine Arts, organized a seminar titled:
"The Importance of Occupational Safety and
Health and Securing the Work Environment Against Risks" on Wednesday,
19/11/2025.
The seminar was held under the patronage of:
* Prof. Dr. Essam El-Din Sadiq Farahat –
President of Minia University
* Prof. Dr. Ayman Hassanein – Vice President
for Community Service and Environmental Development
* Prof. Dr. Gamal Yehia Sedky – Dean of the
Faculty
* Prof. Dr. Ismail Ahmed Amer – Vice Dean for
Community Service and Environmental Affairs
The seminar included a comprehensive
theoretical presentation on occupational safety and health requirements and
procedures within the university work environment, followed by a practical
demonstration on how to use fire extinguishers and handle emergency situations.
A simulated small fire scenario was conducted to train participants in safe
evacuation and proper firefighting methods.
This seminar comes as part of the University’s
ongoing efforts to promote preventive awareness and enhance a safe and healthy
working environment across its faculties and various institutions.
